How to grow sprouts in a jar?
The process of sprouting seeds is easy to do at home. You will need a wide-mouth mason jar, a jar sprouting screen lid that allow air circulation and a canning ring to screw the lid onto the jar.
Step 1: Soak your seeds. Cover the seeds in water and leave them overnight to encourage fermination.
Step 2: Drain and rinse your sprouts. Put the sprouting screen lid in place ande screw on the canning ring. Rinse the seeds to remove debris,stones or broken seeds. Then lay the jar onto the stand upside down ata slight angle. The mesh lids work well for drain and allow a plenty of air circulation. The 360-degree draining holes helps for through draining.
Step 3: Rinse, drain, repeat. …Rinse twice per day, once in the morning, once in the evening. Repeat for 3~5 days until the sprouts are ready to eat.
Step 4: Harvest, store, and use your sprouts! When you are satisfied with length of your sprouts you are ready to enjoy your sprouts. Make sure the sprouts have drained completely before store them in the refrigerator. Keep them dry will stop their growth and slow down spoilage. Better not store them for more than a week.
